Mobo® approached us to help with the rebrand and reinvention of the business. Consistent yearly growth meant they'd out grown their 'self-made' brand and needed something that stamped their authority and position in industry, but also communicated their expansion into the education sector.
Our multi-level approach started with the brands strategy, who was the brand at it’s core, what did they believe in, what were they working towards/ what was their vision, and who were their ideal clients.
Using the findings of the strategy we started to develop messaging that would clearly communicate the brands position and unique value. The messaging was important to get right, as there were 2 main elements to the overall brand – MOBO®, and MOBO® Academy, and we needed to clearly communicate both as a whole, and as ‘separate’ brands.
Our approach to this was to develop a ‘Branded House’. This uses one main logo, with additional words or elements added to create slight differences. This increases the recognition and connection between all brands, something that was important to get right, as a clear link between all sectors of the brand was needed.
Naturally, we started to develop the visual identity and logo style for the motherbrand – MOBO®, as this would form the foundation of the rest of the logo system and feed the visual identity style.
